Taking Action

This past weekend has seen a complete challenge of American values with the executive order that was signed by President Trump that resulted in the restriction of  immigrants and non-immigrants from multiple countries that left people stranded in international airports or in foreign countries.  Many took up to protest outside of JFK airport as well as outside of the courts as lawyers were pressing multiple lawsuits against the executive order, claiming it unconstitutional.

In the midst of all of this, you might be wondering what you can do to help? How is your voice able to be heard? One of the most immediate things that you can do is to contact your local law makers. It is their job to listen to the voices of the concerned citizens that they represent. They might not be able to individually do anything against an executive order, but they are able to press the issue further to the administration. Below is the contact information for California’s Senators and the local Representatives for the Irvine/Santa Ana area.
